Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced Deskside/Onsite IT Engineer to support office IT equipment, network devices, and OT systems at client sites across Warrington. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage printers, scanners, and rugged devices, and act as the Face of IT at the site.

The role requires strong communication skills, hands-on hardware knowledge, and experience with SCCM/Intune/AD/JAMF.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 yrs of deskside/onsite IT experience.
• Strong Windows 10 and macOS troubleshooting skills.
• Experience providing hands-on support for network and data-centre devices.
• Solid desktop hardware/software/networking knowledge.
• Hands-on with printers, handhelds, and OT devices.
• Familiar with SCCM, Intune, AD, and JAMF.
• Experience with managed print services and RF scanners.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange mailboxes.

Responsibilities

• Setup and troubleshooting printer/fax/phones and office IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and diagnose hardware/software issues.
• Provide front-line OT environment support for PLCs and plant IT systems.
• Act as the primary IT contact at site and drive issue resolution.
• Manage data closets, perform daily health checks on critical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with IT/OT vendors to keep site up and running.
• Create documentation and KB articles for day-to-day processes.
