Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced deskside/onsite IT engineer in the United Kingdom. You will act as the primary IT owner at site, performing hands-on hardware and software support for desktops, printers and mobile devices, while resolving P1 incidents with the broader HCLTech team.

You will manage network connectivity, SCCM/Intune deployments, and OT technology, with strong emphasis on documentation, SLAs, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on deskside/onsite IT engineer experience.
• Strong OS install and troubleshooting skills (Win10, macOS).
• Experience with SCCM, Intune, AD and JAMF.
• Hardware, software and networking competencies for desktops, laptops, printers and handhelds.
• Familiar with OT tech such as PLCs and plant IT systems.
• Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy) and ITIL concepts.

Responsibilities

• Setup and troubleshooting printer/faxers/copiers/RF guns and office devices.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware/software issues.
• Provide frontline shopfloor IT support for desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile devices.
• Lead site P1 incidents and coordinate with global HCLTech teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain data closets, perform daily health checks and produce site reports.
• Create KB articles and document day-to-day IT/Infra processes.
