Job summary

Venesky-Brown’s client in Glasgow seeks a Floorwalker / Deployment Support Engineer for an initial 6-month contract. The role provides on-site support immediately after device deployment and assists users with logon, profile initialisation, and basic device familiarisation.

The candidate will help users reconnect to the corporate network, verify access to core services, and maintain calm professionalism during device refresh activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience providing end-user IT support in live environments.
• Strong customer-focused communication to explain tech to non-technical users.
• Ability to stay calm and effective during high-volume deployment activity.
• Good observation to identify patterns from multiple issues.
• Ability to follow defined processes and escalation routes with discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, onsite support to end users after device deployment.
• Assist users with first logon issues, profile initialisation, and basic device familiarisation.
• Help users reconnect to corporate network and access core services.
• Log and escalate issues via Service Desk and supplier channels per processes.
• Provide feedback to logistics and programme management to improve deployment.
