Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer in the UK, based onsite in Usk, Gwent. You will provide hands-on technical support across a busy environment, resolve incidents, fulfill service requests and ensure users receive a high-quality support experience.

The role requires strong Windows 10/11 knowledge, AD/SCCM basics, networking and VPN, ITSM familiarity with ServiceNow, and a valid driving license with SC clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Windows 10/11 configuration and support.
• Experience with Active Directory and basic SCCM tasks.
• Strong networking basics and VPN/remote access knowledge.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow) and MS Office suite.
• Driving license and SC clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Undertake incident and request tasks
• 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA
• Maintain <2% incident per month target
• Complete assigned works within timeframes
• Support internal/external Project Managers on tasks
• Handle Non-Standard Requests as per schedule
• Communicate with Level 3 teams on major issues
• Resolve laptop/desktop hardware, network, printers, etc.
• Install and configure software & hardware
