Job Description:

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.

You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store, always aiming to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback. Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues is a priority.

You will be Responsible For:

• Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
• Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
• Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
• Practicing safety in all tasks.
• Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
• Understanding store performance and contributing to profit.
• Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
• Clocking in and out accurately.
• Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
• Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
• Responding promptly to assistance calls and explaining actions to customers.

• Potentially managing shifts in absence of managers.
• Following all training to ensure safety and compliance.

If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing daily operations and passing necessary background checks; failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
