Job summary

MCS Group is seeking an IT Support Technician for a fully on-site role in Lisburn. You will act as the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support, covering Windows devices, Microsoft 365, and basic networking while collaborating with the IT Manager on infrastructure projects.

The role requires hands-on experience in IT support, strong communication skills, and an HND in Computing or equivalent. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:30pm, with a 1:30pm finish

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, service desk, or technician role.
• Good working knowledge of Windows devices and Microsoft 365.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printing and basic networking issues.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to prioritise effectively in a busy operational environment.
• HND in Computing or equivalent qualification.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across office, operational and site environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing and network issues.
• Support Windows PCs, laptops, printers and other business tech.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and MFA; onboarding/leaver processes.
• Support Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Office apps.
• Assist with software installation, licensing, and updates.
• Log, prioritise, and document incidents; escalate as needed.
• Assist with backups, endpoint protection, patching and system checks.
• Maintain IT documentation and asset records.
