Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a growing organisation in Newry to recruit an IT Helpdesk Technician for their on-site team.

You will deliver hands-on IT support across Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking, resolve day-to-day tickets and help set up devices for new starters.

The role offers £30,000-£40,000 DOE, 28 days’ leave, pension, private healthcare, cycle-to-work, on-site parking and a hybrid option with one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• Experience resolving IT support tickets.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
• Experience supporting PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and user administration.

Responsibilities

• Managing and resolving day-to-day IT helpdesk tickets.
• Setting up laptops, PCs, mobile phones, email accounts and user logins.
• Supporting Windows environments and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, printers and peripherals.
• Supporting networking issues including Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP and VPN.
• Assisting with Active Directory and user account administration.
• Onboarding new starters and ensuring IT setup from day one.
• Monitoring and maintaining IT hardware and software.
