Job summary

Everience is seeking an IT Proximity Engineer to join its manufacturing-focused operations. Based primarily on-site, you will provide Level 1 proximity support for end-user technologies and hardware in production, warehouse, and logistics environments, with regular travel between Goole and Northallerton.

You will handle on-site troubleshooting, equipment deployment, and local technical interventions, while Level 2 issues are escalated to infrastructure teams or approved partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in proximity/site support, preferably in manufacturing or multi-site environments.
• Strong hardware fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, hardware, peripherals and basic network connectivity.
• Ability to diagnose industrial hardware issues and escalate when needed.
• Experience with ITIL processes and IT service desk platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Strong organisational and communication skills with ability to work independently and with remote teams.
• Full UK driving licence and travel between Goole and Northallerton.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 proximity IT support across Goole and Northallerton.
• Deliver Level 1 hardware support for end-user devices and peripherals.
• Perform hardware diagnostics for industrial equipment and escalate as required.
• Troubleshoot local connectivity and device issues, documenting accurately in the service desk system.
• Assist SAP RF devices, warehouse hardware, and related equipment as needed.
• Support IT projects with hands-and-eyes assistance for specialist teams.
