Job summary

Principal IT is seeking an IT Proximity Engineer to provide Level 1/2 hardware and on-site IT support across two sites in Goole, with weekly travel to Northallerton. You will diagnose, deploy and maintain IT equipment, assisting production, warehouse and logistics environments.

The role requires Windows 11, Microsoft 365 skills, and a strong hardware mindset, with a valid UK driving licence and on-site availability. Travel between sites is regular.

Qualifications

• 1st/2nd line on-site IT support across two sites.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Good knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of basic networking and physical connectivity.
• Experience in manufacturing/warehouse environments is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st/2nd line on-site IT support across two sites.
• Troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Teams, PCs, laptops, mobiles, printers and peripherals.
• Support industrial/warehouse technology including RF scanners and vehicle-mounted devices.
• Deploy, configure, replace and relocate IT equipment across environments.
• Log and manage incidents through ITSM platform such as ServiceNow.
• Escalate complex network, infrastructure and security issues.
