Job summary

THG Ingenuity in Manchester is seeking a proactive Staff Technology Engineer to join the Warehouse IT Support team. Based on-site, you will be the primary on-ground technical responder, partnering with warehouse operations to minimise downtime and ensure the tech that keeps our fulfilment lines running smoothly.

The role covers on-site hardware, system access management, endpoint security and proactive monitoring, with occasional out-of-hours tasks during peak periods.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs A-C (9-4) or relevant industry certifications backed by hands-on IT support experience.
• Strong working knowledge of computer hardware, Windows OS, and core networking concepts (Wi-Fi, TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory/Entra ID environments.

Responsibilities

• Onsite Support: provide 1st line technical support to Manchester warehouse teams.
• Hardware Management: set up and maintain warehouse IT equipment.
• System & Access Management: manage users and permissions via Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Proactive Monitoring: monitor local IT systems and network infrastructure.
• Service Delivery: coach staff on IT best practices and log issues via ServiceDesk Plus.
• Asset & Documentation Control: maintain inventory and update documentation.
• Operational Readiness: deploy software updates and security patches for endpoints.
• Peak Support: provide flexible support during high-volume periods.
