Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Maidstone, England, is seeking a proactive Facilities Management Operative to be the face of the onsite facilities team.

You will support employees and contractors, ensure the environment is safe, clean and well‑managed, and work hands-on to keep the site running smoothly. You will conduct daily inspections, handle minor repairs, assist with HVAC, plumbing and electrical tasks, and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, maintenance, or similar hands-on role is beneficial.
• Proactive, personable, and professional with a tidy appearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for staff queries and minor issues.
• Liaise with contractors, organise site inductions, and support visitors.
• Work with the FM and CBRE teams to ensure reactive tasks are completed efficiently.
• Escalate building or service concerns to the client team or Regional Manager.
• Complete daily site inspections and raise issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness across kitchens, toilets, yard areas, and the site building.
• Perform minor repairs such as tightening fixtures, adjusting monitor arms, and basic electrical/plumbing checks.
• Assist with HVAC adjustments and fire alarm tests.
• Log tasks on the CAFM system and support other reasonable duties.
