Job summary

CBRE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for an onsite contract in Ware. The role involves hands-on maintenance, liaising with CBRE to arrange callouts, and supporting day-to-day facilities requirements.

Flexible working hours and an approximate 45 hours onsite per day are offered. You will conduct onsite checks, coordinate waste collections, and assist with general facilities duties, working with multiple stakeholders by phone and email to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience within maintenance, facilities administration or building maintenance.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication over phone and email.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Google Workspace advantageous.
• A proactive and hardworking approach; able to work independently.
• Comfortable with manual handling/heavy lifting when required.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with CBRE to arrange maintenance callouts and site visits.
• Communicating regularly with CBRE via email and telephone.
• Conducting onsite checks to identify and assess issues.
• Following up on maintenance and facilities requirements.
• Coordinating waste collection and general facilities duties.
• Keeping relevant parties updated on issues and progress.
• Carrying out general facilities and building maintenance tasks as required.
• Performing some manual handling and heavy lifting when needed.
• Working independently while managing day-to-day priorities.
