Job summary

CBRE Local UK is seeking a diligent Caretaker/Management Operative to ensure occupied sites run efficiently, safely and with a high level of customer service. You will handle post, inductions, basic maintenance, safety checks, and act as the main on-site contact for facilities issues.

In this hands-on role you will work with contractors and colleagues to maintain clean, safe workplaces, perform routine inspections, support HVAC and electrical tasks, and log tasks in the CAFM system, contributing

Responsibilities

• Manage all incoming and outgoing site post.
• Conduct contractor and visitor inductions and maintain records.
• Serve as key facilities contact; resolve queries efficiently.
• Coordinate with contractors and team for reactive maintenance.
• Represent facilities on-site and deliver customer service.
• Escalate concerns to client/management when needed.
• Carry out routine site inspections and report faults.
• Assist with basic cleaning and minor repairs as part of general maintenance.
• Assist with simple HVAC, fire alarm testing, and CAFM logging.
