Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Management Operative to keep occupied sites safe, clean, and functional. You will be the first point of contact for facilities issues, working with employees, contractors, and the facilities team to maintain high site standards.

This role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently while upholding safe work practices and professional conduct on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage all incoming and outgoing site post.
• Conduct contractor and visitor inductions and maintain accurate records.
• Act as a key contact for facilities-related issues, ensuring queries are resolved efficiently.
• Liaise with contractors and the wider facilities team to ensure reactive maintenance tasks are completed.
• Represent the Facilities Management function on-site and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Escalate building or service concerns to the client and management teams when required.
• Carry out routine site inspections, identifying and reporting faults or issues.
• Basic cleaning of kitchen and washroom areas, including replenishing consumables and emptying bins.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including tightening or replacing door handles, catches, and toilet seats.
• Isolate water supplies when required.
• Unblock toilets, sinks, and urinals.
• Tighten waste fittings.
• Descale water boilers and related equipment.
• Make simple HVAC adjustments.
• Assist with routine fire alarm testing.
• Complete and update tasks logged through the CAFM system.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
