Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is urgently seeking an experienced Document Controller for a major residential development in Luton. You will own the project’s document control processes, ensuring accurate recording, distribution, and accessible audits to support the team and stakeholders.

This fully site-based position requires five days on site in Luton, coordinating drawings, specifications and reports while liaising with contractors, consultants and clients to keep documentation current and well filed.

Qualifications

• Previous document control experience within construction.
• Excellent organisational and administration skills.
• Experience with document management systems.
• Able to work on-site five days per week in Luton.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full document control process for the project.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date document registers.
• Upload, issue, distribute and track project documentation.
• Manage drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence and other technical documentation.
• Ensure documents are correctly controlled, versioned and filed.
• Coordinate information between the project team, subcontractors, consultants and client.
• Monitor document revisions and ensure the correct information is issued.
• Support the project team with general administration and document-related requirements.
• Maintain clear audit trails and ensure project information is easily accessible.
• Assist with the management and organisation of project records throughout the build.
