Temporary Commercial Waste Account Manager in Cambridgeshire (office based) required to grow the customer base and manage an active portfolio, ensuring reliable service and compliance with environmental standards. You will plan targeted sales activity, qualify and pursue new leads, write proposals and negotiate prices to close deals, while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Qualifications

• Proven business-to-business sales experience with cold calling and closing deals.
• Account management experience with a customer-first approach.
• Waste industry knowledge or waste sales experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation and pricing skills with ability to interpret numbers and reporting.
• Good problem-solving abilities and proactive issue resolution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Responsabilités

• Planning and carrying out targeted sales activity, including calls, emails and client visits
• Finding, qualifying and following up new business leads, writing proposals and negotiating prices to close sales
• Building strong relationships with existing customers and acting as their main contact for queries, complaints and escalations
• Carrying out on-site waste audits and service checks, and giving clear written and verbal feedback to clients
• Keeping customer records accurate and up to date on the customer management system
• Working closely with colleagues on service updates, invoicing issues and day-to-day operations
• Reporting regularly on sales figures, pipeline and KPIs
