Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd is recruiting an experienced Temporary Commercial Waste Account Manager for a busy trade waste service in Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on growing the customer base and managing existing accounts to ensure reliable service and compliance with environmental standards.

You will conduct targeted sales activity, perform on-site waste audits, build client relationships, and report on sales KPIs.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales experience including cold calling and closing deals.
• Account management experience with client retention focus.
• Waste industry experience preferred or strong B2B sales from another sector.
• Excellent negotiation and pricing skills.
• Good problem-solving and reporting abilities.
• Full driving licence with vehicle for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out targeted sales activity, including calls, emails and client visits.
• Find, qualify and follow up new business leads, write proposals and negotiate prices to close sales.
• Build strong relationships with existing customers and act as their main contact for queries, complaints and escalations.
• Carry out on-site waste audits and service checks, and provide clear written and verbal feedback to clients.
• Keep customer records accurate and up to date on the customer management system.
• Work closely with colleagues on service updates, invoicing issues and day-to-day operations.
• Report regularly on sales figures, pipeline and KPIs.
