Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician at Maple Lodge STW, WD3 9SQ. The role covers inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnosing, testing and repairing electrical and mechanical plant with minimum supervision to keep sites operational and compliant with safety standards.

You will conduct reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, install or modify equipment, and record asset information.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent
• 18th Edition preferred; training can be provided
• Strong problem solving and fault diagnosis abilities
• Excellent communication with internal/ external staff
• Resilient and adaptable in a changing environment
• Capable of working with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of Health and Safety in the industry
• Team player with respect for others
• Valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned maintenance on mechanical/ electrical plant and equipment
• Fault find, diagnose and repair faults; install or modify plant as required
• Record work and asset information to improve performance and identify risks
• Provide specialist technical advice and coach/ train staff including apprentices
• Deliver excellent customer experience and communicate professionally with customers
