Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician based at Chieveley STW, RG20 8TY. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical equipment across our sites with minimal supervision, to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

You will undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, and record asset information to drive performance. Training and apprenticeship coaching are part of the role, with a strong emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• Must be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems.
• NVQ or C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 18th Edition preferred; training can be given.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and fault-diagnose mechanical and electrical plant and equipment.
• Perform reactive and planned maintenance and respond to alarms.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance.
• Provide technical advice and support, including coaching staff and apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer experience and professionalism to internal and external customers.
