Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Electrical Technician to join the Waste Water team in Thames Valley North (Aylesbury, Banbury, High Wycombe, Marlow, Oxford). You will inspect, maintain and repair electrical equipment across sites, with standby duties and overtime opportunities, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work in a hands-on role, with time‑served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering, 18th Edition preferred, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with electrical experience.
• NVQ or C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering.
• 18th Edition preferred; training can be given.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical equipment and associated mechanical plant.
• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms and faults, and carry out diagnostics.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance and raise issues for resolution.
• Provide technical advice and mentor staff, including apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer experience with professional interactions on site.
