Job summary

Thames Water is seeking Mechanical & Electrical Technicians for Maple Lodge STW. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical and electrical plant while working safely and efficiently to keep sites operational for customers.

Applicants should have a time-served electrical apprenticeship, an upskilled mechanical qualification, and a valid driving license. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits within an on-site team environment.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with significant electrical experience in a true multi-skilled capacity.
• Upskilled with a mechanical qualification to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, testing, installing, modifying or repairing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Driving license is essential; vehicle and tools are provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Investigate plant failures and repair quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Diagnose complex faults and perform repairs during incidents.
• Provide technical advice and training to trainees when required.
• Work on pumps, control gear, motors, VSDs, valves, sensors, PLCs, and dosing equipment.
• Participate in standby rota after training.
