Job summary

Thames Water seeks an experienced Electrical Technician based at Chieveley sewage treatment works, RG20 8TY, to inspect, maintain and repair electrical equipment and mechanical plant. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance, fault-finding, and install new assets, with supervision as needed to keep sites operational for customers.

Role involves recording asset data, offering technical guidance, and coaching apprentices.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent with NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering.
• 18th Edition preferred; training can be provided.
• Problem solver who can work with minimal supervision and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical equipment and mechanical plant.
• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms and perform fault-finding.
• Record work and asset information and raise issues for resolution.
• Provide specialist technical advice and coach staff, including apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer experience and maintain professional interactions.
