Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician at Maple Lodge STW in Rickmansworth. You will inspect, maintain, diagnose faults, test, install, modify or repair mechanical and electrical plant with minimum supervision to keep sites operational.

The role includes scheduled maintenance, stand-by duties, and earning potential through overtime. A time-served electrical apprenticeship and NVQ/onc training are essential, with a company van and tools provided

Qualifications

• Must be a time-served apprentice with strong electrical knowledge.
• Upskilled with a mechanical qualification to inspect, maintain and repair plant equipment.
• For candidates with mechanical or electrical experience, dual-skilled development will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize plant breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and replacements during incidents.
• Provide technical advice and training support for trainees when required.
• Work with pumps, motors, control gear, PLC systems and associated equipment.
