Job summary

Rail Gourmet is seeking an On Board Host for TransPennine Express services at Edinburgh Waverley Station. You will provide at-seat trolley service, manage stock and transactions, and deliver outstanding customer service on assigned trains.

This part-time role (16 hours) includes shifts between 5:00am and 10:00pm, with weekends or Sundays plus additional days as required. Training is provided, 18+ and DBS check may be required, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a customer-facing role (Retail/L Leisure & Hospitality) preferred.
• Adaptability to dynamic and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-seat trolley service on TPE trains with outstanding customer service, manage stock and handle transactions.
• Travel on assigned trains to assist passengers, aim for sales targets and meet contractual goals.
• Accurately account for stock and transactions while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

Job description

On-Board Host for TransPennine Express (TPE) at Edinburgh Waverley Station.

Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour plus commission
Hours: Part Time (16 hours).
Shifts: Rotational shifts between 5:00am and 10:00pm, working flexibly. (We currently have roles that are either working only at weekends, or every Sunday plus one or two days per week as required.)

• Due to some responsibilities within the Onboard Host role, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.
  
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including long hours and varying shifts.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years working experience gained in a Customer Facing role within the Retail Leisure & Hospitality Industry.

Full Training will be provided.

AS AN ON BOARD HOST YOU’LL:

• Provide 'at seat trolley service' on TPE trains, ensuring outstanding customer service, managing stock, and handling transactions.
• Travel on assigned trains, assisting passengers, achieving sales targets independently, and meeting contractual goals.
• Accurately account for stock and transactions, adhere to hygiene and safety standards, and support management initiatives.
