About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced OFSTED Registered Manager to lead their Children's Homes in Crewe. They provide safe, nurturing environments for children unable to live with their families, emphasizing emotional wellbeing alongside physical health.

Responsibilities of the Registered Manager

1. Oversee daily operations, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children
2. Develop and maintain policies to ensure compliance with legislation and standards
3. Supervise and support staff, ensuring high-quality care including emotional and practical support
4. Foster positive relationships with staff, children, and families for the best outcomes
5. Manage budgets and resources effectively
6. Promote the organisation's values, respecting rights, autonomy, and dignity
7. Maintain accurate records and reports
8. Hold regular meetings to review care quality
9. Collaborate with external agencies to meet individual needs and promote social inclusion

Candidate Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare) or working towards it.

Minimum 2 years' experience managing an Ofsted-rated 'good' or above home, with strong knowledge of legislation including The Children's Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children's Act 1989, Children Act 2004, Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023, and related legislation.

Details

This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work required.

Salary is up to GBP50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
