Manchester 46K - 50K + up to 20% Bonus Full-Time

Are you an experienced leader - or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to step up - with a passion for transforming the lives of children with learning disabilities and emotional & behavioural difficulties (EBD)?

We're recruiting a Registered Manager for a unique, specialist solo provision Children's Residential Home in Manchester, supporting a young person in a highly personalised setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking, independent provider that prioritises quality, compassion, and tailored care - and offers you the autonomy to shape a service that genuinely puts the child first.

Role:

  • Take full operational and regulatory responsibility as the Registered Manager of a small children's home.
  • Lead and develop a committed care team to deliver consistent, therapeutic, person-centred support.
  • Ensure high standards in line with Children's Homes Regulations, OFSTED requirements, and best practices in LD/EBD care.
  • Design and oversee bespoke care plans that promote stability, development, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Build strong relationships with professionals, families, and external partners to achieve the best outcomes.

Experience:

  • 2+ years' experience in a management role within children's residential care
    (Experienced Deputy Managers looking to step up are warmly encouraged to apply)
  • Experience working with children with learning disabilities and EBD
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • In-depth knowledge of OFSTED standards and safeguarding practices
  • A calm, compassionate leadership style and a drive to create a safe, nurturing home
