Job Opportunity: Registered Manager at Applewood Lodge

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead our new trauma-informed therapeutic children's service at Applewood Lodge in Stafford. Designed to feel like a family home, this service provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people to thrive and feel valued.

With space for 3 to 4 children, Applewood Lodge focuses on creating a warm atmosphere, offering personalized care that mirrors family routines and relationships. The role involves supporting children with daily activities, fostering trust, connection, and emotional well-being.

This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a new service from the ground up, shaping a brighter future for vulnerable children with an organization committed to making a difference.

Role Details:

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and delivery of the service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and high standards of care.
• Implement trauma-informed approaches, such as PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy), to support children's emotional and behavioral development.
• Oversee assessment and formulation of individualized treatment plans.
• Build and manage a compassionate, skilled team, fostering a positive culture.

Requirements:

• Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
• Experience in trauma-informed care settings, clinical or non-clinical.
• Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and best practices in children's residential care.
• Passion for child-focused, nurturing environments.
• Strong leadership and team-inspiring skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.
