Job Description
Wood requires an Office Manager based at our offices located at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. The Office Manager will be responsible for the organisation and coordination of office operations, directing activities of the project administrative staff in the coordination and management of various administrative activities including adherence to company policies and procedures. This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site.

Responsibilities
- Manage and ensure adherence to the company policies and procedures related to office infrastructure and resources.
- Assign and monitor clerical/administrative responsibilities to support project efficiency.
- Collaborate with project supervisors and managers, providing administrative support.
- Communicate effectively with supervision and staff.
- Prepare or oversee payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, back charges, and invoices.
- Manage personnel administration activities including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, policy interpretation, and terminations.
- Oversee purchasing of expendable materials and small tools as approved.
- Coordinate material control, including receiving all project materials and equipment.
- Maintain various cost and statistical reports to support construction activities.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and confidential working environment.
- Assist with technical systems, software, and IT-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of office management experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures, company policies, purchasing, payroll, accounts payable, and office administration.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and make decisions.
- Strong work and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Knowledge of training and supervisory techniques.
