Job summary

Perfect Team in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join a close-knit family-run electrical contracting business. This newly created role involves supporting the Managing Director, Project Manager and Accounts, and ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly.

You will manage emails and phone calls, raise invoices with Xero, create templates in Simpro, and help with facilities and events. Immediate start is available and training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of office administration experience.
  • Experience in coordinating, admin support to MD and project teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with Xero and Simpro preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the company s emails and responding to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls.
  • Creating and maintaining project templates using Simpro (training will be given).
  • Raising and processing invoices using Xero.
  • Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
  • Assisting with office facilities, including purchasing equipment, stationery and consumables when required.
  • Providing administrative and organisational support to the Managing Director.
  • Organising company events and supporting the charities and community initiatives that the company is involved with.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure projects and administrative processes run efficiently.
  • Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, alongside Xero and Simpro.

Job description

My client is a highly successful, family-run electrical contracting business based in Hemel Hempstead. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced Office Administrator who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and takes pride in helping a business run smoothly.

This is a newly created role within the business and offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a growing company. You will work closely with the Managing Director, Project Manager, Project Teams and Accounts, providing essential administrative support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing the company s emails and responding to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator, ideally with at least 5 years experience in an office administration, coordination or similar role.

You will be someone who:

  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Is confident communicating with customers and colleagues at all levels
  • Takes a proactive approach and is happy to get involved wherever needed
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office
  • Has experience with Xero and/or Simpro (although training may be provided for the right candidate)
  • Wants to be part of a growing business where their contribution will genuinely make a difference
