Job summary

Change Grow Live in Walsall is seeking an O2R Recovery Coordinator to join the Criminal Justice team. You will engage with offenders, partners and colleagues to support recovery, manage referrals, and help offenders re-enter the community through coordinated care planning.

The role requires strong communication, understanding of substance misuse, ability to work with partners, and adherence to information governance. DBS check is required and vetting will be completed.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain police vetting.
• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proactive with good time management and prioritisation.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and services.
• Collaborative team player with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage change prioritising service user needs.
• Understand information governance processes and safeguards.
• Commit to continuous learning and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Work with West Midlands Police and stakeholders in Walsall.
• Link police/court, custody suites, prison and community services.
• Provide assessment and information for sign-ups to the O2R programme.
• Support care planning and reviews with partners and service users.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and governance policies are followed.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions to reduce disengagement and harm.
• Screening, assessment and recovery planning; onward referrals.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm in the community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Assist social reintegration and promote recovery and self-determination.
