Job summary

Change Grow Live in Birmingham is recruiting a Recovery Coordinator to support service users from entry through their treatment and recovery journey. You will assess, engage and empower individuals to access the right support at the right time in a person-centred manner.

The role requires a strong understanding of substance misuse, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently with partners across services.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proactive with strong time management and prioritisation.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and services.
• Ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Adaptable to change with a focus on service user needs.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Facilitate group sessions.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and the wider community.
• Advocate for access to partnership services.
• Support social reintegration and promote recovery, resilience and self-determination.
