Job summary

JEM Childcare Solutions Limited in Portsmouth is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager for a busy setting in central Portsmouth. The role offers a 40-hour week and a salary around £41k, with a joining bonus and additional benefits.

The successful candidate will lead the nursery operations, ensuring high-quality care and learning, strong EYFS compliance, staffing and budget management, and a proven track record in leadership within early years environments.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in early years, including 2 years’ in a management or team-leading role.
• Experience leading or supporting Ofsted inspections.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety practices.
• Experience managing nursery teams, occupancy, and budgets.
• Deliver high-quality care and learning while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
