Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Assistant to support learning and daily routines across private day nurseries in Huddersfield and surrounding areas.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months' UK childcare experience, a Level 2/3 in Childcare or Early Years (desirable) and a caring, proactive approach. Flexible day-to-day supply roles offered with both full-time and part-time options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience working with children in the UK.
• Previous nursery/childcare or Early Years setting experience.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable).
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

Salary: £12.17 - £14.25 per hour

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and daily routines. From creative activities and messy play to story time and outdoor adventures, you'll help create a fun, safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, explore and thrive!

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in the UK
• Previous experience working in a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable but not essential)
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• The confidence to use their own initiative and adapt to different nursery environments
• A caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
