Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for flexible supply work across Huddersfield. You will support learning through play, daily routines and engaging activities, across a range of private day nurseries. A background in childcare and a passion for development are essential.

The role offers part-time hours with potential for longer placements and permanent positions within partner nurseries, and a friendly, supportive consultant to guide placements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' UK experience with children.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable).
• Previous nursery/childcare experience in an Early Years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Ability to use initiative and adapt to different nursery environments.
• Caring, reliable and enthusiastic with team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through engaging activities.

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner looking for flexible work across Huddersfield?

Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of welcoming private day nurseries while choosing the days you work?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of private day nurseries across Huddersfield. We are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to provide flexible cover across different nursery settings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for day-to-day supply work, with the flexibility to choose the days that suit their availability. There may also be opportunities for longer-term placements and permanent positions within the nurseries.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting children's learning and development through engaging activities, creative play and daily routines. You will work alongside experienced nursery teams to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in the UK
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable)
• Previous experience working in a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• The confidence to use their own initiative and adapt to different nursery environments
• A caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
