Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Nursery Assistants to work with private day nurseries across Halifax and surrounding areas. The role is temporary with immediate start and flexible day-to-day opportunities across multiple settings.

The successful candidate will support children through daily routines, play-based learning, and development activities. A minimum of six months' childcare experience and EYFS knowledge are preferred, with a caring and teamwork-oriented mindset and strong communication

We are looking to appoint Nursery Assistants on a temporary basis with an immediate start. With flexible day-to-day opportunities available across multiple nursery settings, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience, develop your skills and make a real difference in children's early years.

The successful Nursery Assistant will support children across different nursery rooms, assisting with daily routines, encouraging learning through play and helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for every child.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

A minimum of six months' experience working within a childcare setting

Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues

A willingness to support across different age groups and nursery settings where required

A flexible and reliable approach to day-to-day supply work
