Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking Nursery Assistants for flexible day-to-day supply across Huddersfield. You will support children's learning, daily routines and activities in private nurseries, adapting to different environments.

With at least 6 months UK childcare experience and a passion for early years, you’ll work on a flexible, full-time or part-time basis. DBS checks and safeguarding are part of onboarding, with support from a dedicated consultant team.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience working with children in the UK.
• Experience in a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting is preferred.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and daily routines.
• Assist with creative activities, messy play, story time and outdoor play.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for children to explore.

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and daily routines. From creative activities and messy play to story time and outdoor adventures, you'll help create a fun, safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, explore and thrive!

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in the UK
• Previous experience working in a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable but not essential)
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• The confidence to use their own initiative and adapt to different nursery environments
• A caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
