Job summary

Babcock International's Cavendish Nuclear apprenticeship offers hands-on experience across CAD modelling, design calculations, and documentation within nuclear projects.

You'll shadow engineers, develop 3D models, and gain exposure to FEA tools while studying for a BEng (Hons) Professional Engineering degree, with a structured development programme and progression towards Chartered status.

Qualifications

• GCSEs incl Maths, English and Science (minimum C/4).
• UCAS points from A Levels including Maths & Physics or STEM subject.
• BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM in Engineering including Maths.
• Access course with 104 points including Maths/Physics.
• IB with 104 points and Higher Level Maths/Physics.
• IELTS 6.0 overall with >=5.5 in each component.

Responsibilities

• Shadow experienced engineers to learn design, modelling, and documentation.
• Develop 3D CAD models and design drawings.
• Carry out scoping calculations and design requirements.
• Produce equipment specifications and technical reports.
• Support obsolescence management and safety of systems.
