Job summary

Babcock’s Cavendish Nuclear offers a five-year Process and Plant Engineer Degree Apprentice programme at Devonport, training toward a BEng in Professional Engineering with a focus on nuclear process systems and plant equipment.

You’ll work under experienced engineers, contributing to safety-critical projects, learning design documentation, calculations and analyses, with placements across Design Delivery, Safety Engineering, Operations and more, while studying at Aston University.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4 or above.
• Three A levels at grades CCC or above including a mathematics-based subject and a STEM subject, or equivalent STEM-related BTEC at grade DMM or above.
• Security clearance requirements (BPSS, SC, NNPI) may apply; UK national eligibility rules may impact programme participation.

Responsibilities

• Support production of design documentation, perform engineering calculations and analyses.
• Assist with inspections and validations in a nuclear-regulated environment.
• Contribute to projects across the engineering lifecycle with placements across teams.
