Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary civil engineering workstreams across nuclear programmes, from feasibility to detailed design.

You will work within the Civil Nuclear team to deliver infrastructure for new build, decommissioning and waste management projects in the UK. You will collaborate with experts across structural, geotechnical, environmental and process engineering, ensuring designs meet client requirements, standards and safety obligations.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE).
• Experience delivering civil engineering projects across the nuclear asset lifecycle including new build, operations, life extension and decommissioning.
• Experience leading the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions (site development, earthworks, drainage, highways, utilities and reinforced concrete/steel structures).
• Strong understanding of design codes and standards including British Standards, Eurocodes, and nuclear-specific standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary workstreams across nuclear programmes.
• Define civil engineering solutions for site development, roads and access infrastructure, drainage, earthworks, utility networks and reinforced concrete/steel structures.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance to ensure designs meet client requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Lead feasibility studies, optioneering, site assessments and concept design activities.
• Coordinate civil engineering requirements across structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines.
• Oversee preparation and review of calculations, specifications, reports, design risk assessments and health and safety documentation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders as a senior technical contact.
