Job summary

WSP is recruiting for civil engineering professionals to support the nuclear asset lifecycle across major UK programmes, including new build, operations, decommissioning and waste management. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of civil, structural, geotechnical and process engineers helping deliver critical infrastructure.

You’ll develop design solutions for site development, earthworks and utility networks, coordinate interfaces, and contribute to feasibility studies and detailed design work,

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE) or working towards chartership.
• Experience on civil projects throughout the nuclear asset lifecycle (new build, operations, maintenance, decommissioning, waste management, environmental remediation).
• Experience in site development, earthworks, drainage, highways, utilities & reinforced concrete structures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and review civil engineering designs across nuclear asset lifecycle.
• Develop civil solutions for site development, roads, drainage, earthworks and structures.
• Manage defined work packages with high-quality outputs.
• Conduct feasibility studies, optioneering and concept design.
• Coordinate interfaces with multidisciplinary engineering requirements.
• Prepare/ review calculations, specifications, reports and safety documentation.
• Support project delivery, budgeting, scheduling and design coordination.
• Apply design codes, standards and quality requirements in regulated environments.
• Engage with clients and partners to resolve technical challenges.
• Mentor and guide graduate engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
