Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead technical delivery across nuclear programmes, guiding multidisciplinary teams through feasibility, concept design and detailed engineering. You will ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements while driving design excellence across site development, earthworks and infrastructure.

You will mentor teams, contribute to strategic growth of WSP's Civil Nuclear business, and support proposals and client relationships

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is expected.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE) is required.
• Experience delivering civil projects through nuclear asset lifecycle, with UK programmes understanding.
• Experience leading civil design including site development, earthworks, drainage, highways, utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary workstreams across nuclear programmes.
• Define civil engineering solutions for site development, roads, drainage, earthworks, utilities and concrete/steel structures.
• Provide technical leadership, assuring designs meet client requirements and standards.
• Lead feasibility studies, optioneering, site assessments and concept design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical and process engineering.
• Oversee calculations, specifications, technical reports, risk assessments and safety documentation.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders as senior technical point of contact.
• Support proposals, fee development and work-winning activities.
