Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a dedicated Nightshift Manager to lead a team overnight, ensuring replenishment, safety and smooth operations across the store. You’ll balance hands-on work with people management, prioritising deliveries and coaching colleagues for peak morning performance.

The role is full-time, with a 4-night shift pattern from 22:00 to 08:00 and a £4,500 premium on top of the base salary. Strong customer service, KPI focus, and inclusivity are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment — you’ve motivated others, driven performance, and kept operations running smoothly.
• Operational leadership skills — you’ve taken responsibility for store operations in the absence of more senior managers.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs — whether it’s sales, availability, customer satisfaction or colleague engagement, you’ve made a measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team overnight to deliver replenishment and manage deliveries.
• Oversee full store operation overnight and ensure safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are brilliant in the morning so we’re ready to serve our customers.
• Manage people, performance, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay.
