Job summary

Boughey Distribution is seeking a Reach Truck Operative for the Wardle, Nantwich site on a 4 on 4 off night shift (6pm to 6am). The role covers loading/unloading, stock control, replenishment and dispatch, with duties including paperwork and safe handling of products.

You will work in a safety-conscious environment with opportunities for training, progression, and access to employee benefits as part of a large group.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Reach Truck is required or refresher courses can be provided.
• Comfortable on your feet as this role involves lifting.
• Team player with a positive attitude and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate Reach Trucks safely and in compliance with policies.
• Load and unload deliveries and replenish stock locations.
• Dispatch goods to customers and complete paperwork.
• Receive, check and store products from suppliers securely.
• Report shortages and damages to the Team Leader.

Due to continued growth, we are growing our teams across our Wardle, Nantwich site across a number of different teams working a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern, 6pm to 6am.

Our Reach Truck Operatives work across a range of duties including but not limited to checking stock, goods and location controlling, picking and handballing.

Day to Day

• - Operating Reach Trucks in a safe and compliant manner.
• - Loading and unloading deliveries.
• - Replenishing stock locations.
• - Dispatching goods to our customers.
• - Completing all paperwork and documents as required.
• - Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers in a safe and secure manner.
• - Report all shortages and damages found to the Team Leader immediately.
• - Be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health and Safety and welfare of yourself and others.

What will you bring?

• - Previous experience operating a Reach Truck: refresher courses can be provided if your license is expired or was held only in house!
• - Comfortable on your feet – this is a hands-on role that involves lifting and carrying.
• - A team player with a positive attitude towards work.
• - Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware.
