Job summary

Boughey Distribution, part of NWF Group, is recruiting Reach Truck Operatives for our Lymedale site in Newcastle under Lyme. You will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 6am to 6pm, performing stock checks, locating stock, picking and handballing as part of a busy warehouse team.

We offer weekly pay (£13.76 per hour), enhanced overtime, holidays, progression opportunities, funded training, and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck; refresher courses available.
• Comfortable standing for long periods in a hands-on role.
• Team player with a positive attitude and good communication.
• Understanding of safe manual handling and health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Picking orders from pick lists and locating stock as required.
• Packing orders for dispatch and ensuring accurate paperwork.
• Dispatching goods to customers and recording stock movements.
• Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers safely.
• Reporting shortages and damages to the Team Leader immediately.
• Operate reach truck and other mobile plant as required.

Due to continued growth, we are growing our teams across our Lymedale, Newcastle under Lyme site across a number of different teams working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6am to 6pm.

Our Reach Truck Operatives work across a range of duties including but not limited to checking stock, goods and location controlling, picking and handballing.

Day to Day

• - Picking orders from pick lists andlocatestock as and whenrequired.
• - Packing orders ready for dispatch.
• - Dispatching goods to our customers.
• - Completing all paperwork and documents asrequired.
• - Receiving,checkingand storing products from suppliers in asafe and secure manner.
• - Report all shortages and damages found to the Team Leaderimmediately.
• - Be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health and Safety and welfare of yourself and others.
• - OperateReach truck and other mobile plant whenrequired.

What will you bring?

• - Previous experience operating a Reach Truck: refresher courses can be provided!
• - Comfortable on your feet – this is ahands-onrole that involves lifting and carrying.
