Job summary

LOVELL PARTNERSHIPS LIMITED is seeking staff to support residents in Greater Manchester during night shifts. You will help maintain safety and security, perform welfare checks, and respond to incidents, working a 3 nights on/3 nights off rota from 8:00pm to 8:00am.

The role is lone working within a not-for-profit housing service. Applicants should have experience in social care or supported housing, strong communication and IT skills, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining safety and security of clients and the building overnight.
• Carrying out welfare and building checks; respond promptly to concerns.
• Understanding and following risk assessments, support plans and personal safety procedures.
• Recording information accurately; up-to-date records and handovers to colleagues.
• Monitoring access to the building; respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns or emergencies.
• Completing health and safety checks; report repairs or maintenance issues.
• Providing administrative support and light cleaning duties.
• Working as part of a wider supported housing team to ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Experience of working with young people and/or vulnerable adults with complex support needs.
• Experience of working within supported housing, social care or a customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication, record-keeping, interpersonal and IT skills.
• Understanding safeguarding, risk management and professional boundaries.
• Remain calm, use sound judgement and respond appropriately in challenging situations.
• Maintaining accurate records and undertaking administrative tasks.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding issues affecting vulnerable adults, including mental health and support needs.
• Develop positive working relationships with clients, colleagues and partner agencies.
• Enhanced DBS check is required; must be able to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
