Job summary

IRIS Recruitment is seeking a Night Coordinator (MOUP) in Salford to work night shifts as part of a 3 nights on/3 nights off rota. The role includes ensuring resident safety, conducting welfare checks, and maintaining security in a supported housing setting.

A full-time permanent post with 36/48 hour weekly hours and a strong DBS check requirement is stated. Responsibilities include safeguarding, record-keeping, incident response, and collaboration with the wider team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people and/or vulnerable adults with complex support needs.
• Experience of working within supported housing, social care or a customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication, record-keeping, interpersonal and IT skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding, risk management and professional boundaries.
• The ability to remain calm, use sound judgement and respond appropriately in challenging situations.
• Experience of maintaining accurate records and undertaking administrative tasks.
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
• An understanding of issues affecting vulnerable adults, including mental health, behaviour management and support needs.
• The ability to develop positive working relationships with clients, colleagues and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the safety and security of clients and the building throughout the night.
• Carrying out regular welfare and building checks, ensuring any concerns are responded to promptly and appropriately.

• Recording information accurately, maintaining clear and up-to-date records and providing comprehensive handovers to colleagues.

• Completing health and safety checks and reporting repairs or maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
• Providing administrative support to the service and undertaking light cleaning duties.
• Working as part of a wider supported housing team to ensure high standards of service delivery and client support.

MOUP Night Working Hours: 36/48 hours per week, with services operating overnight, Monday to Sunday, worked on a shift rota of 3 nights on, 3 nights off. Shifts are 8:00pm to 8:00am (Night Shift), Please note that this position is lone working.

This role will help us provide a safe, secure and supportive environment for clients living within our supported housing services in Greater Manchester. Working throughout the night, you will play an important role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of residents, maintaining the security of the building, responding appropriately to incidents and supporting the smooth running of the service.

In this role, you will be responsible for

  Please note that an Enhanced DBS check is required for this role and you must be able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required.
