Job summary

IRIS Recruitment is seeking a Night Coordinator (MOUP) in Salford to work night shifts as part of a 3 nights on/3 nights off rota. The role includes ensuring resident safety, conducting welfare checks, and maintaining security in a supported housing setting.

A full-time permanent post with 36/48 hour weekly hours and a strong DBS check requirement is stated. Responsibilities include safeguarding, record-keeping, incident response, and collaboration with the wider team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people and/or vulnerable adults with complex support needs.
• Experience of working within supported housing, social care or a customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication, record-keeping, interpersonal and IT skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding, risk management and professional boundaries.
• The ability to remain calm, use sound judgement and respond appropriately in challenging situations.
• Experience of maintaining accurate records and undertaking administrative tasks.
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
• An understanding of issues affecting vulnerable adults, including mental health, behaviour management and support needs.
• The ability to develop positive working relationships with clients, colleagues and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the safety and security of clients and the building throughout the night.
• Carrying out regular welfare and building checks, ensuring any concerns are responded to promptly and appropriately.
• Understanding and following risk assessments, support plans and personal safety procedures.
• Recording information accurately, maintaining clear and up-to-date records and providing comprehensive handovers to colleagues.
• Monitoring access to the building and responding appropriately to incidents, safeguarding concerns or emergencies.
• Completing health and safety checks and reporting repairs or maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
• Providing administrative support to the service and undertaking light cleaning duties.
• Working as part of a wider supported housing team to ensure high standards of service delivery and client support.
