Job summary

The Caraires Consultancy is assisting a large distributor in Rugby, DIRFT, by recruiting a Transport Clerk / Administrator for a 4 on 4 off night shift from 7pm to 7am. The role emphasizes solid IT and administration skills and reliability.

You will despatch deliveries, update systems, liaise with drivers, and ensure paperwork is correct while maintaining up-to-date despatch processes. The position starts temporary for 3 months with potential permanent for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Methodical, able to follow instructions and procedures.
• Reliable with good initiative.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the systems are up to date with despatching and loading processes
• Efficiently despatch deliveries with relevant paperwork
• Use customer systems to update delivery information
• Monitor the return of equipment
• Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival to site
• Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site procedures
