Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for a Transport Clerk in Rugby to support a major UK supermarket client. You will work within the Transport department, dispatch drivers, maintain records and help ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role suits highly organized individuals with good communication, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. Full-time, immediate start, with regular pay and onsite facilities.

Qualifications

• Confident using a computer and good communication.
• Excellent attention to detail under pressure in a busy environment.
• Full training will be provided if you have prior admin experience.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching drivers and completing driver briefs and debriefs.
• Monitor transport activities to support safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain fleet compliance records and escalate vehicle defects as required.
• Complete transport administration accurately and in line with procedures and transport legislation.
• Maintain transport systems and complete operational reporting accurately and timely.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues and escalate where appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Support shift handovers to ensure continuity across the operation.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards and site rules are followed at all times.
• Support achievement of transport KPIs and service levels.

Job Title: Transport Clerk

Location: Rugby

Pay Rate: £14.87 to £24.36 p/h

Working Hours: Working any 5 out of 7 or 4 on 4 off

Transport Clerk - the role & responsibilities:

The role will include:

• Working within the Transport department and reporting directly to the Transport FLM
• Dispatching drivers and completing driver briefs and debriefs
• Monitoring transport activities and proactively supporting the safe and efficient running of the operation
• Maintaining fleet compliance records and escalating vehicle defects as required
• Completing transport administration accurately and in line with company procedures and transport legislation
• Maintaining transport systems and completing operational reporting accurately and in a timely manner
