Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join our client based in Warrington, Cheshire. The role offers a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00 - 18:00, and £13.00 per hour, with potential for permanent placement after a 12-week placement.

You will coordinate driver schedules, manage route planning and paperwork, and ensure compliance with drivers’ hours and tachograph rules, while providing a supportive and busy transport office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Transport Administrator in a similar role.
• Administration and clerical experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good communication skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating driver start and finish times and ensuring all shifts are adequately covered
• Briefing and debriefing drivers, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
• Monitoring vehicle movements and updating systems with live information
• Managing route and load allocation in line with operational requirements
• Ensuring compliance with WTD, driver's hours, and tachograph regulations
• Logging trailer numbers, vehicle defects, and reporting issues to the relevant teams
• Communicating effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, planners, and management
• Handling PODs and delivery notes, ensuring all documentation is stored correctly
